Our team of podiatrists are highly trained professionals with comprehensive BSc with Honours degrees in Podiatric Medicine. This extensive education covers all aspects of foot care, risk assessment, pharmacology, and managing various foot conditions.

Our newly refurbished podiatry clinic in Harton Village, South Shields, is equipped with quality, evidence-based medical equipment, ensuring we are ready to deliver results in your condition management. Whether you require routine care or more complex management, we have the equipment, commitment, and expertise to provide the highest standard of care.
The podiatry/chiropody clinic has been open for over 30 years. Initially, it was owned by Mr Wilson, followed by Mrs Herron, and most recently Mrs Harris-Parker. Now, the clinic is run by myself, Mr and Mrs Shirbon, continuing a long and proven history of excellence.
As with almost all walks of life, change is inevitable. Over the years, there has been a great deal of change here, as our patients can testify - whether it’s the transformations inside the clinic, the improvements outside, or the ongoing efforts in the background. Nevertheless, our commitment remains to provide the best service for the people we support, and that’s what our patients have come to expect.

Home visits
Treatment in the comfort of your own home in the borough of South Tyneside.
Our Podiatrist will bring everything needed for your professional consultation, fully equipped with all necessary assessment tools, personal protective equipment (PPE), dressings, and instruments. They even bring their own seat to ensure your comfort during the appointment!
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the importance of PPE for infection control has become widely recognised. Nevertheless, we have been practising this approach for many years and are highly experienced in maintaining top hygiene standards.
Furthermore, all equipment is sanitised between visits using medical-grade wipes. Our instruments undergo ultrasonic cleaning and are then sterilised in an autoclave, meeting professional industry standards. This equipment is regularly serviced, quality checked, and certified by Durham Autoclaves.
We have well-thought-out methods of working to keep potential cross-contamination transfer to an absolute minimum, we only touch, use, and then remove all the equipment needed for the appointment.

Why Podiatrists?
Podiatrists are trained foot experts who hold the qualification; BSc in Podiatric Medicine (Hons). This is a regulated and audited profession to ensure professional standards. podiatrists have enhanced knowledge in foot anatomy, foot function, dermatology, and risk management.
Additionally, we have a Foot Health Practitioner (FHP) working with full professional support and supervision from the podiatric team, she is also a trained, qualified and highly experienced Nurse.
